Who We Are

Capstone Conference

ESTEEM offers a national Capstone Conference to convene students from all of our participating campus ministry sites from across the country.

One of the aims of the Capstone Conference is to prepare students for the transition into regular parish life after graduating and leaving college campus ministry. Another portion of the conference schedule is focused on developing the leadership skills and confidence to engage with parishes, dioceses and nonprofit organizations as Catholic lay leaders as soon as they graduate from college. Immediate engagement makes it less likely that they will leave the Church for a time after graduation and helps our parishes create stronger young adult communities.

Through dynamic national speakers, our highly anticipated young adult alumni panel, and chances to network with other students from across the country, the Capstone Conference is one of the most celebrated components of the ESTEEM experience.

Capstone Conference 2021: Virtual!

The 2021 Capstone Conference was held virtually this year on April 18, 2021. Our panelists included ministry experts and recent young alumni, who explored the questions of finding a faith community after graduation, staying connected to one’s faith when moving into the workforce, and ways to find spiritual nourishment in times of transition.

Thank you to Sarah Jarzembowski (young adult ministry consultant), Fr. David Roman (priest of the Diocese of Bridgeport), Paul Thomas (Purdue alumnus), and Muriel Wang (Yale alumna) for sharing their experiences and wisdom!
